St Clare’s has an active chaplaincy team comprising of one child from each class in Years 1 to 6. These wonderful chaplains help to support their peers to grow in their faith. They hold regular meetings with the Headteacher in order to plan activities including whole school liturgies, charity fundraising events, monitoring the prayer areas around the school, creating a prayer box for outdoor spontaneous prayer and leading a meditation club.

Chaplaincy Blog
Our pupils regularly share their faith in action through the Truespirit blog, where you can see how we live out our mission in everyday school life. The blog showcases weekly reflections, prayers and “missions” that encourage children to put their faith into action—through acts of kindness, charity, and care for others. It offers a wonderful insight into the spiritual life of our school and how we encourage pupils to grow as compassionate, thoughtful individuals rooted in Gospel values.

Chaplaincy in Action
We invited members of the wider community and parishioners from St Wilfrid’s to join us in a prayerful session, led by our Mini Vinnies.
Supported by our Chaplain, Hugh, the children shared the prayers they had written and served our guests with hot drinks and cakes freshly made by Mrs Palmer.
It was a wonderful celebration of the Jubilee of families and grandparents and we thank everyone who joined us.
